anna secor

Anna Secor is an Associate Professor of Geography at the University of Kentucky. Her research focuses on questions of citizenship, difference, and the state. She is the author of over 20 book chapters and articles published in journals such as Annals of the Association of American Geographers, Transactions of the Institute of British Geographers, Environment and Planning D: Society and Space, Antipode, and others. She has received NSF funding for her work on Islam, democracy, and civil society in Turkey (BCS-0137060). In addition to work in Turkey, Anna Secor has published several theoretical interventions on topics such as geopolitics, dialectics, and the state of exception.
